Studio Tre was founded in 2022 by Whitley Esteban and Ernesto Gloria. The studio embraces design vocabularies from the formal to the folk, from the canonical to the vernacular – and exists comfortably being both. The studio aims always for this third way.

Whitley Esteban leads architectural design direction across all projects. For eight years, Whitley worked as Managing Director and Architectural Design Director at Roman and Williams Buildings and Interiors, with residential and commercial work spanning the globe for hospitality, entertainment, and cultural leaders, owners, and operators. Whitley began her career in New York at G. P. Schafer Architect, and is a trustee of the national Board of Directors of the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art. 

Ernesto Gloria leads the interiors and decorative aspects of all projects within the studio. Working for Tom Scheerer, Inc. for eight years, Fairfax and Sammons in New York, and John Simpson Architects in London, Ernesto has designed premier residences and private members’ club projects across New York, Florida, Sweden, and Panama. 

Both Whitley and Ernesto are alumni of the School of Architecture at the University of Notre Dame. 

The namesake of Studio Tre acknowledges that we do nothing alone – the work of the studio would not exist without our clients and our team.
